Review: How Speedppc helps build the optimal pay per click campaign
58
Creating a ppc campaign for your website looks easy in theory, but can be a bit more tricky in practice. In this article we will try to dissect the anatomy of that elusive, perfect campaign.
Let's try and break it down:
1. Keywords. Choose unambigious keywords that demonstrates a significant intent to buy. Read more about keyword selection here
2.
Tightly themed ad groups. It is important that each ad group is
centered around exactly the same terminology. This means that you will
be better of creating separate ad groups for the same product IF the
same product is known by more than one name (that people are also
searching for). You will typically find these opportunities compleltely
naturally when you do keyword research.
3. Ad texts - You write ad texts for each ad group. You need at least one ad text per ad group but it is a good idea to write a few variations to start with so Google can test which one performs better.
4. Landing pages that match your keyword+ad texts. Speedppc has a built-in functionality that will help you automate this on a large scale.
5. Measuring the profitability of each keyword. There are several tools and scripts that will make this part easy for you.
Quite simple, in theory! All of the above is relatively easy to manually and won't require a lot of time if you only have a few products that you want to promote. If you are considering venturing into affiliate marketing there it is a clear advantage to target a lot of products.
But creating the optimal campaign when you need to target many different products takes up a whole lot of time - you'll have to create hundreds, even thousands, of ad groups, keywords, and landing pages.
This is something you certainly don't want to do by hand. I use Speedppc which makes it possible to do it all in a fraction of the time. You can read a more thorough review of Speedppc on my blog by following the link.
There is of course a learning curve - Speedppc is not a piece of software where you just push a button and off it goes. You will have to set some time aside to learn how to use it.If you are not at all familiar with Google Adwords or pay-per-click marketing you are not ready to buy Speedppc yet.
